As a certified provider of Support Coordination Services to persons with Developmental Disabilities under the Florida iBudget / iConnect Waiver, FL WSC Group will strive to first obtain ‘Natural Supports’ in the community whenever possible. The iBudget Medicaid Waiver is in place to provide those services you are not able to provide for yourself; the program is designed to be the ‘payer of last resort’. Private insurance and Medicaid / Medicare agencies are obligated to either fund medically necessary services or provide a written statement stating it is beyond their scope to provide these services.
FL WSC Group's primary goal is to accomplish individual personal outcomes by assisting the
beneficiary and / or their families / guardians to make ‘client specific’, healthful, safe, and productive choices based on the best information available.
The cornerstone of FL WSC Group’s services provide opportunities to recipients to expose them to new and positive experiences. The recipient, legal representatives, and caregivers will be educated on how to access resources and direct their own services proactively.
Your Waiver Support Coordinator (WSC) or your Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) consultant will assist you with interviewing new providers / vendors; however, the final choice of a provider is up to you. When deciding about life choices the WSC / CDC+ consultant cannot tell you what to do, nor can they do it for you. FL WSC Group, Inc. is here to encourage you to be independent in as many ways as possible.
